Chromatic

Chromatic harmonicas feature a 12-note chromatic scale. Different than a diatonic harmonica, a chromatic harmonica player can learn to read music to play classical music written especially for the chromatic harmonica or for any other instrument.

Typical 3-octave (12-hole) chromatic harmonicas are tuned from C4 – D7. There are other common variations available from Hohner: B3-C#7, Bb3-C7, A3-B6, G3-A6, F3-G6, E3-F#6, Eb3-F6, D3-E6, and C3-D6 (commonly known as the tenor model)

Typical 4-octave (16-hole) chromatic harmonicas are tuned C3-D7. Other variations of the 16-hole models are available only from a harmonica customizer.
